GrabMyOTP · privacy

Privacy policy

GrabMyOTP was made so that it does not need your data. This page explains, plainly, what it reads, what stays on your computer and what never leaves it.

Last updated: October 6, 2026.

What the app reads

GrabMyOTP reads, through the Windows accessibility feature (the same one screen readers use), only the text that is already visible in the browser window you chose. It does not open emails, does not click anything, does not access your email account and does not read other windows.

The text it reads stays only in the app's memory for as long as it takes to look for codes and is then discarded. It is not written to disk.

What stays on your computer

The following stay in the app folder on your computer: the chosen language, the position of the panel and a technical operating log (for example, whether the window was visible and how long the reading took). Codes always appear masked in that log, never in full. Logs older than 7 days are deleted automatically.

When a new code arrives, the app puts it on the Windows clipboard for you to paste. It is flagged so that it does not enter the clipboard history or cloud sync.

Nothing leaves your computer

GrabMyOTP has no server, does not create an account, does not use cookies or analytics tools and does not automatically send any data.

The only exception is the "My code was not recognized" report, which exists only if you create it yourself: you choose the line, the app masks numbers, email addresses and links, you review and can edit the text, and you are the one who copies it and emails it to support.

When you write to us

If you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you send. We use that information only to reply and, in the case of the report, to improve code recognition. We do not sell or share this data, and we delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.

Microsoft Store

Downloads and updates are handled by the Microsoft Store, which processes your data under Microsoft's privacy policy. We do not receive personal data about you through the store.

Your rights

At any time you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of the data you sent us by email, as provided by the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD). For that, or for any privacy question, write to

[email protected].

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with the update date.
